Financial Assistance Page

For families seeking support to cover the expenses associated with hockey registration fees, there are numerous organizations offering grants specifically tailored to minor hockey registrations. It's important to note that most grants typically cover only the basic registration fees. Additional expenses such as team fees, jersey deposits, fees for skills camps, 'A' team tryouts, carding fees, extra team charges, and equipment costs may not be included in these grants.

The initial step involves registering with New Westminster Minor Hockey and submitting a registration deposit. Subsequently, families can explore the opportunities provided by the organizations listed below to seek assistance. If New Westminster Minor Hockey Association (NWMHA) secures funding on behalf of a child, a refund will be calculated and issued accordingly.

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process, grants are provided so kids can play a season of sport. Please visit www.kidsportcanada.ca for more information.
